On December 10th I sent an email around to all Welcome House China program families talking about CCAA possibly giving us permission to transfer some WH families interested in adopting waiting children to another agency. Later in December Welcome House approached CCAA to withdraw our application for the waiting child program based on the results of our CEO’s visit to CCAA in October. However, at that time members of the waiting child program committee discouraged us from withdrawing our application because of all the work we’ve done thus far to be admitted. In addition, they indicated that there are currently approximately 30 agencies waiting for admission to the waiting child program and that PSBI is toward the top of this list. They encouraged us to wait and see the outcome of that meeting. We presume that this meeting will occur in March after the Spring Festival (aka Chinese New Year) holiday. In light of CCAA's most recent directive, we will not be transferring families just yet and are awaiting their decision as per their instruction.
