Good news – your dossiers were sent to CCAA today!! Thanks for your patience as we got all the paperwork together. Turns out the last family was delayed due to a problem with Fed Ex. Let’s just say they deserve a prize for the shortest time taken to reassemble a dossier!
The next step in the process is that your dossiers will be logged in to CCAA’s computer system. This is called your log in date (LID) or registration date. That is the official start of your wait for a referral. Depending on how many dossiers CCAA is receiving right now, your dossiers could be registered in 1 week or a couple of weeks. It does tend to take a few weeks for us to get the LID back from CCAA. However, we’ll pass it along to you as soon as we get it.
Also, we’ll be sending you a letter verifying that your dossier has been sent, along with a copy of your dossier. Also included in there will be a permission slip. This allows us to release your contact information to the other families in your group. In the past, some groups have really enjoyed getting to know each other during the wait for a referral. Once we have all the slips back, we’ll send out a list of everyone in the group and their contact info so you can get to know each other if you’d like.
